Though hyperbaric oxygen is one of the safest medical therapies available, the use of oxygen under pressure presents a number of unique safety concerns. Our goal is to provide products that enhance operational safety of hyperbaric facilities.
In September 2009, we filed our 510k premarket notification with the US Food and Drug Administration for our ASOS and ASOV hyperbaric safety systems (patent pending).
ASOS and ASOV are accessories to oxygen-pressurized monoplace chambers that monitor chamber pressure and automatically shut off the oxygen supply. In addition, ASOV also activates the chamber's emergency decompression system. A manual trigger allows system activation by the chamber operator prior to the chamber's reaching the pre-set trigger point.
Both systems are self-contained, powered by the chamber gas supply, and are compatible with all oxygen-pressurized monoplace chambers.
